Activated carbon filter

Hotline
Activated carbon filters are generally used as advanced treatment equipment for water treatment or sewage, mainly to remove suspended substances, organic substances, chromaticity, etc. At present, due to the high price of activated carbon and the difficulty of regeneration, its practicality is limited. It is ideal to use it under certain conditions.
(1) Operation steps
1. The filter material in the adsorber can be filled with a quartz sand layer with a height of 0.15~0.4 meters as a support layer at the bottom. The particles of quartz sand can be 20~40 mm, and 1.0~1.5 meters of granular activated carbon can be filled on the quartz sand as a filter layer.
2. Before the filter is loaded, the bottom filter material quartz sand should be tested for the stability of the solution. After soaking for 24 hours, the following requirements are met:
(1) The increase of all solids should not exceed 20 mg/L.
(2) The increase in oxygen consumption should not exceed 10 mg/L.
(3) After soaking in alkaline medium, the increase of silica does not exceed 10 mg/L.
3. After the quartz sand is rinsed, it should be carefully cleaned in the equipment. The water flow should be rinsed from top to bottom, and the dirty water should be discharged from the bottom until the effluent is clarified. Then, the granular activated carbon filter material should be loaded into the equipment, and then cleaned, and the water flow should be rinsed from bottom to top., the dirty water is discharged from the upper part.
4. When the adsorber is working, the raw water flows downstream from the upper inlet. When the water quality drops due to excessive sewage interception, backwashing can be carried out. The backwashing time can be purged once a day or a week depending on the specific situation.
(1) There should be no sand running during backwashing.
(2) In case of backwashing, if the water effluent exceeds the specified time and still fails to meet the requirements, the equipment should be checked and repaired, and the backwashing speed should not be increased.
(II) Technical performance
1. Working pressure: U+22640.6MPa
2. Filtration speed: U+226410m/h
3. Backwash intensity: 8~10l/m ·S
4. Backwash time: 15 minutes
